Allison Lafferty is new SCT Board President
Allison Cherry Lafferty became President of the Board of Directors of Stockton Civic Theatre on July 1, 2010.
The local attorney grew-up in the Sacramento area, a resident of the small community of Fair Oaks. She graduated from Bella Vista High School, where she participated both backstage and as an actress in productions such as 42nd Street and Trojan Women. In the interview for this article, she hastened to add that during her youth she also played the singing and dancing role of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle in a cartoon review.
She received her B.A. in Rhetoric & Communications and Sociology from University of California Davis, where in addition to her studies she worked on the university’s yearbook, serving as Editor-in-Chief during her senior year. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree, she studied at University of the Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law, where she earned a Juris Doctorate degree in 1999, graduating with Distinction.
Today, Allison is a partner in the prestigious Stockton law firm of Kroloff, Belcher, Smart, Perry & Christopherson. She has been volunteering with Stockton Civic Theatre since 2005, most recently serving as Vice President of Marketing. She lives in Stockton with her husband Brian and their four-year-old daughter Rowan.
Her final comment? She’s really looking forward to the production of 42nd Street at the end of the coming Season!
Stockton Civic Theatre is indeed proud and honored to have Allison Cherry Lafferty as its Board President for 2010-2012.
